Abstract

The possibility of reducing the pilot portion of diesel fuel in a modern dual-fuel engine is limited by overheating of the injector due to its poor cooling by the fuel. Reducing the size of the nozzle improves its cooling. The possibility of using a smaller injector from a passenger car on a truck dual-fuel engine was analyzed in order to reduce the pilot portion of diesel fuel from 15% to 6%. Since engine operation at full load in diesel mode with smaller injector is impossible, we fulfilled modeling in the AVL FIRE software of a dual-fuel engine operation with both diesel and gas type combustion chambers, large and small injectors, two pilot portions of diesel fuel, at full and partial loads. When the pilot portion of diesel fuel was reduced by almost three times, replacing the diesel combustion chamber with an omega-shaped one and using the smaller injector led to an increase in effective efficiency by 2% at full load and 4% at 25% load. Emissions of nitrogen oxides increased up to 3.5 times, but did not exceed 93 ppm. Emissions of unburned hydrocarbons changed insignificantly.

Abstract

The report is devoted to the problem of building feedback with the car during its operation. It analyzes the problems that require feedback from the vehicle, clarifies the reasons why insufficient attention is paid to this issue, and discusses methods for obtaining the most informative data at the lowest cost. When working on the report, the authors relied on the results of their professional activities, which consists in the development and application in practice of diagnostic techniques for automobile internal combustion engines. The least costly and technically easy to implement is getting data from the engine management system controller. To increase the information content of such data, it is required to organize their correct processing and cataloging. You can get information about the progress of the working process in the engine cylinders by means of indication - direct or indirect. The implementation of direct indication is laborious and costly, therefore, with the help of direct indication, the authors of the report develop an indirect indication method based on the analysis of changes in the instantaneous crankshaft speed obtained as a result of processing the signal from the crankshaft position sensor. A promising complex of feedback with a car during operation should receive most of the data on engine operation from the ECM, but to calculate the generated torque, the complex must register a signal from the crankshaft position sensor using an ADC.

Abstract

In the braking process, we can face several types of damage of the anti-friction layer of brake pads which can negatively affect the braking performance during the next braking cycles. The appearance of damage to the anti-friction layer directly depends on a number of factors, such as the coefficient of friction, the composition of the anti-friction layer, as well as the presence of reinforcing and lubricating materials. The purpose of this researches  is to assess the effect of the use of graphite-containing materials in the antifriction layer of brake pads on braking efficiency, which was evaluated by the following parameters: braking distance length, wear rate, as well as by changes in the frictional properties of brake pads.

Abstract

Improving the efficiency of road construction machines is a key task of modern scientists in this field. Road rollers are used almost everywhere where the roadway is being built. A skating rink, as a finishing machine, must have not only high performance, but also low cost. Various studies have been devoted to the combination of these factors. One of the ways to increase the efficiency of the sealing process is the use of stand-in driving with self-propelled rollers, which allows one operator to control several rollers at once. The tanned driving of self-propelled rinks presupposes the presence of a connection between the machines. The connection can be mechanical and non-mechanical. Non-mechanical communication between objects means the use of radio, light, optical or wired communication.

Abstract

A hexapod is a type of robotic device. This article discusses a six-legged hexapod, which is a walking platform and can be used as a chassis for various types of road construction equipment in cramped and difficult conditions for cross-country construction and debris removal.

The movable part of the hexapod has six degrees of freedom - three translational and three rotational. The hexapod has six independent "legs" that connect the movable part and the fixed platform with the help of hinges.  The hexapod is a fairly stable and flexible chassis and can be used for various purposes. The vastness of its fields of application is due to the fact that it is stable, when resting on half of the legs, it does not lose its stability and does not tip over, respectively, it is safer than a hexapod with fewer supports, due to the presence of six legs, it becomes more passable over uneven and relief terrain, compared with wheeled and even tracked vehicles. The paper presents direct and inverse kinematic models of a six-legged hexapod, the Denavit-Hantenburg matrix is used to calculate the position and relationship between parameters such as hinge rotation angles, the free endpoint of the hexapod, as well as the inverse and forward models. This method makes it possible to describe the translational and rotational connections of neighboring hexapod links.

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of efficiency of running equipment of construction machines. The development of construction technology and earthmoving works raises the question of improving the control system of excavator travel mechanism. Application of modern regulation system in the design of road-building machine will allow the hydraulic system of excavator running equipment to meet modern design efficiency indicators. The most promising is the method of volumetric regulation of hydraulic drive, which allows to provide working or transportation speed of excavator. The article considers the features of the volumetric method, designed to change the speed of rotation of the output shaft of the hydraulic motor, by regulating its working volume, with the help of elements involved in the operation of the running equipment of the excavator.

Abstract

The article discusses the comparison of the results of calculating the hydraulic power of the excavator's working equipment using the capabilities of the developed software package and experimental data. A mathematical calculation model implemented using software is described. A description of the experimental setup consisting of an excavator, a laser tracker, a reflector stabilization system, means for measuring pressure in the pump-power unit discharge line, as well as a method for obtaining experimental data are presented. It is shown that the hydraulic power obtained theoretically has values close to the experimental ones. It is concluded that the accuracy of the results depends on the adopted assumptions of the model and is acceptable in the given calculation case for use at the design stage or modernization of excavator equipment.

Abstract

The near future of the road transport industry is associated with its digital transformation and creation of intelligent transport systems. The organisational complexity of such systems requires a methodologically correct approach to their development and implementation. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the method of assessing the efficiency of intelligent transport systems.

The system method is chosen as the research methods. The article identifies three groups of factors that form the concept of ‘efficiency’ in relation to intelligent transport systems. It is argued that these groups of factors are hierarchically related to each other, i.e. each individual factor can be evaluated only after the level of the previous, higher factor is recognised as satisfactory.

In the course of the research the following results have been obtained: the evaluation methods used in regulatory documents have been investigated; the approach to the evaluation of intelligent transport systems has been substantiated; the conceptual approach to the evaluation of intelligent transport systems has been developed.

Abstract

The article considers the features of the functioning of the technical service at a manufacturing enterprise, namely, the organizational structure of the technical service management is defined and the scheme of the service's production process is constructed. The article proposes a solution to the problem of allocating financial resources between the technical services of various branches (factories, motor transport enterprises) of one company, depending on the results of evaluating the effectiveness of technical services during the reporting period. Four blocks of indicators have been formed to assess the effectiveness of the technical service. The calculation of the consolidated efficiency indicator for each block and the calculation of the integral efficiency indicator of the technical service of the branch as a whole are proposed. Based on the values of the integral indicator, strategies for calculating financial resources for distribution between the technical services of the company's production branches are proposed.

Abstract

The article considers the possibility of using the basic provisions of the “Vision zero” concept for the development of urban transport systems in the Russian Federation. In particular, for the development of cycling and the movement of personal mobility aids (SIM) in Russian cities. The “Vision zero” concept was adopted in Sweden in the mid-90s of the last century and its main task is to combat injuries and deaths as a result of road accidents. The main assumption that this concept accepts is the fact that it is human nature to make mistakes. Therefore, transport systems must be designed in such a way that they work flawlessly, and thus compensate for the imperfection of human activity. To successfully implement this concept, four basic principles must be followed: control and separation, functional harmony, predictability and simplicity, and the pursuit of limitations. To assess the possibility of implementing these principles in practice, it is necessary to understand the attitude of the local population to this issue. The easiest way to do this is to use opinion polls. And such surveys were conducted by MADI specialists in 2022-2024. An analysis of their results showed that, in general, residents of Moscow perceive well the changes in transport policy that correlate with the implementation of the concept of "Vision zero" in practice. Including those related to the development of cycling and SIM traffic. At the same time, surveys have shown that it will not be possible to painlessly implement the basic provisions of the concept in our country. Therefore, in conclusion, a list of measures necessary to overcome the transition period is proposed.

Abstract

The main objectives of imitating modeling of the movement, fluctuations of controllability of the car with involvement of the commixed reality and simulators are considered(examined). It is revealed that the problem place of their decision is the insufficient speed of the existing computers (even with frequency of processor of 4-5 GHz) due to the need of message modeling in strip of 0-28 Hz at step 0.0006-0.001 with to receive acceptable convergence with experiment. The separation offered earlier and parallelization of the calculations on computers connected by powerful network demands use of the special software of division of tasks and their synchronization which is still inaccessible because of sanctions and high cost.

For increase in performance it is offered to divide calculations on the 3rd computers through the three-level combined network, including breakdown of mathematical model into front and rear suspension in separate flowcharts for more equal distribution of calculation on integrators in Simulink that the Windows operating system could distribute(allocate) better on processor cores.

On the first (Raspberry minicomputer) reading of parameters from governing bodies of the car for drive is offered to carry out them in network, on the second main more powerful computer itself of modeling process, on the third visualization of road situation, information transfer on 6-Dof the platform of the vibrostand on CAN BUS network.

At the expense of it it is promoted in Simulink of the performance of calculations by 1.6 times.

Further expedient it is represented to computers still of separation of calculations on cores with use of the special software.

Abstract

The article discusses the possibility of using Agile Project Management in relation to the life cycle of a road construction investment project and to individual stages of its implementation. In the course of theoretical research, it was revealed that an Agile Project Management can significantly improve the efficiency of road construction project management. The application of Agile Project Management at the upper management level does not meet the requirements and specifics of the road construction industry, however, the introduction of flexible practices and tools for hybridization of the classical approach can make such projects adaptable. When implementing Agile tools, it is necessary to take into account the cultural and technological industry features of the road construction industry.

Further investigation of possible hybridization options and identification of the most effective practices, tools and forms of their adaptation, taking into account the specifics of road construction projects, is required.
