Article is devoted to a research of a problem of innovative development of economy of regions of the Russian Federation. As development of economy of Russia depends on development of regions, it is necessary to analyse not only external and internal factors of innovative development of regions, but also the economic indicators influencing further development of the industries of these regions.
In particular, in this article factors and problems of economic development of regions on the example of two areas of the Russian Federation are considered. Consequences of influence of an investment component, internal and external economic factors on the prospects of development of economy are stated, need of development not only transport infrastructure, but also intellectual transport systems, social and economic development of the Samara and Novosibirsk regions is proved.
As a result of the analysis of economic indicators it is revealed that major factors of innovative development of the considered regions are regional investment networks and development of transport infrastructure. For achievement of innovative development of the considered regions it is necessary to carry out the tasks set in the Scheme of innovative development of the Samara region till 2020 and the Strategy of innovative development of the Novosibirsk region till 2030.
Development of innovations is a key factor of economic growth now.Engineering education

Due to the penetration of moisture and harmful impurities from the air the conditions for the development of electrochemical corrosion appear on the surface of the cars.
The article discusses the experimental results obtained by students in the study of the surface of the car for the presence of corrosion damage. Methods of non-destructive testing of corrosion state of the surface are well known: ultrasonic flaw detection, acoustic emission, radiography, thermography, electrical resistance method, etc.
Students got acquainted with the method of recognition of sub-film corrosion on the surface of the car with the help of a thermal imager, whose work is based on obtaining a thermal image in the infrared region of the spectrum without direct contact with the metal sample under study. The method allows to quantify the surface area of the metal sample exposed to corrosion.
The article also presents the calculations of the spring suspension of the car, based on knowledge of the laws of physics, namely, Hooke's law.The article briefly describes the history of two types of public transport – an electric omnibus and a suspended trailer, the developer of which was The Russian inventor I.V. Romanov.
V. Romanov was at the origins of the creation of urban public electric transport in Russia. He designed the original electric motors for electric vehicles, invented a light sheet material-wood plastic – for the car body panel, built an electric omnibus, invented a model of a suspended electric road, created a project of a monorail linking Moscow with St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod, and also proposed the idea of building a ring road around St. Petersburg.
The article also presents the technical characteristics and some features of the modern electric bus and cable car, which are currently in operation in Russia.
