INFLUENCE ON THE TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC INDICATORS OF ROAD PAVEMENTS ACCOUNTING OF AREA ON THE DEPTH OF FREEZING OF SOILS IN LARGE AREAS OF RUSSIA (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE REPUBLIC OF BASHKORTOSTAN)
Abstract
The territory of the Russian Federation is characterized by significant differences in the conditions of soil freezing. The design of both rigid and flexible road pavements is carried out in accordance with various regulatory documents, but their testing for resistance to frost heaving is unified. The average depth of soil freezing is usually assigned in accordance with the normative map of isolines of average freezing depths, which is quite generalized and does not take into account possible sharp climatic changes within one region of the country or a subject of the Russian Federation. The article presents the results of a computational experiment, during which discrepancies in the technical and economic indicators of road pavements were established when using data from regulatory documents for the design of road pavements and obtained on the basis of an analysis of territorial norms for building climatology (for example, the Republic of Bashkortostan). The article continues a series of publications on problematic issues arising when checking road pavements for frost resistancens.
