Abstract
This paper presents the preconditions, which might result as the basic causes in the reduction in efficiency of the electronic stability control systems of vehicles equipped with studded tires when in motion on an icy surface. The construction of the instrument (tire tester) on the basis of the passenger vehicle used in the determination of the φ – S diagrams for motion on an icy surface is been described.
