Development of finite element models rope guardrails using the software package LS-DYNA

Abstract

The article considers the important problem arising in the numerical simulation of collision of the vehicle with cable road guard using the finite element software of the complex nonlinear dynamics of the Ls-Dyna – selection of the type of elements to describe the work of the ropes. Analyzed various finite element model of the cables, and checked for their adequacy by comparing with experiment. In the second part of the paper shows the results of all models of the fence using the above models of the rope.
