RESEARCH OF STUDENTS 'BELIEFS IN EDUCATION AND SELF-EDUCATION SPHERES IN THE PROCESS OF THE PREPARATORY STAGE TO PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

Abstract

The article presents the results of an empirical study of students' beliefs that affect their attitude to the processes of education and self-education, and also significantly influences their worldview. The authors analyze the creative written works of students mastering various educational programs at the Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University (MADI). This reveals the general and specific value orientations of students. The information obtained in this way makes it possible to obtain objective ideas about the attitude of the students to the spheres of education and self-education in the context of their professional development. Along with this, the most common, key priorities of future professionals are identified. The authors of the article note the presence of the peculiarities shown by some students in choosing their approaches to the performance of individual creative assignments. The results obtained during the research carried out by the authors allowed them to identify two main aspects in the management of the process of professional development of students during the preparatory phase of their preparation for professional activity. They are: improving the motivation system of future professionals and, at the same time, raising their levels of interest in the processes of professional education and self-education. The noted results can be useful for teachers in the development of additional programs to accompany the process of professional development during the preparatory phase within the framework of university training.
