ROUSSEAU’S PHILOSOPHY OF CULTURE
Abstract
The Article is devoted to the unique thinker of the era of the French Enlightenment, who at the time of the triumph of rationalism was opposed to civilization and for nature, feeling and intellect, Rousseau. The author shows the originality of Rousseau's approach to moral issues and historical development. The philosophical stance of Rousseau is evident in the article is not focused on the results of science, but on personal experience and imagination. The originality of Rousseau as a thinker, the author connects with the originality of his fully formed social concept. Rousseau gets the attention of his contemporaries to its natural state, speaking about the morality of the past and puts conscience above the religious dogmas. The author points out the novelty and at the same time paradoxical one-sided views of Rousseau and stresses the importance of his philosophy to the French revolution.
