Estimation of efficiency of complex technical systems on the example of intelligent transport systems
Abstract
The near future of the road transport industry is associated with its digital transformation and creation of intelligent transport systems. The organisational complexity of such systems requires a methodologically correct approach to their development and implementation. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the method of assessing the efficiency of intelligent transport systems.
The system method is chosen as the research methods. The article identifies three groups of factors that form the concept of ‘efficiency’ in relation to intelligent transport systems. It is argued that these groups of factors are hierarchically related to each other, i.e. each individual factor can be evaluated only after the level of the previous, higher factor is recognised as satisfactory.
In the course of the research the following results have been obtained: the evaluation methods used in regulatory documents have been investigated; the approach to the evaluation of intelligent transport systems has been substantiated; the conceptual approach to the evaluation of intelligent transport systems has been developed.
