TOWARDS VISION ZERO: ROAD SAFETY CHALLENGES IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Abstract

This article explores the policy of the European Union for reducing deaths and injuries caused by road traffic accidents. It analyses the current road traffic safety level in the EU and defines the main actions, which need to be undertaken in order to reach the goals of Vision Zero.
