PROSPECTS FOR USE OF AIRLESS TIRES ON VEHICLES USED IN THE SERVICE OF THE INTERNAL AFFAIRS RUSSIAN FEDERATION
Abstract
The article considers the possibility of using wheels made using airless tire technology on vehicles of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The types and variants of wheels made according to the technology of airless tires are considered. The results of the analysis of the main characteristics of airless tires are presented, the main advantages and disadvantages of using airless tires relative to pneumatic analogues are indicated. The main tactical and technical characteristics of official passenger cars used in the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation are studied. The load index of each wheel and axles of the passenger cars under consideration is calculated. The prospects of transferring service vehicles to wheels made using airless tire technology are analyzed. The analyzed conclusion is presented on the expediency and relevance of the further phased development of the technology of open-type airless tires.
