Выводы и примеры, полученные в результате исследования, могут быть использованы и на практических занятиях по обучению профессиональному переводу, и в лекционном курсе по теории перевода для будущих инженеров, обучающихся по дополнительной профессиональной программе «Переводчик в сфере профессиональной коммуникации (ППК)».</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article deals with variations in modal meaning manifested by may in two types of professional discourse.
